Gallery Visit Cathy and Jessie Marion Gallery Fredonia NY

Opinions

Ink on Plaster
I liked this one because of the subject matter and the mediums used. I thought that the title and the work don't really go together and it kind of made a mystery. I looked at this the longest in the gallery. I wanted to know why the artist named it as they had.
Sefl Portrait #1 (with Knives)
By: Dylan Scacchetti
Charcoal and White pastel
I liked the difference in the shading here. I also liked the knives, in me field of study knives are always around and I thought it interesting that he would include them in his work.

Oils
This made me look at ordinary objects with a new view point. The way that the fence outlines the one barrel was eye catching.  But all the barrels in the background seem to have a deeper meaning.
Manipulated Image

Gelatin Silver Print
I wanted to learn how this was made. the image of the dancer almost fades into the background and there are so many details for something that is a print.

India Ink with brush
I like the plain and simple lines. they tell us how the bottle is round and the cup had a rim. the use of this element is amazingly defined.

Charcoal
(sorry about it being posted upside down I dont know how to fix it)
The circle of color drew my attention. Then as i looked further the picture has so much emotion.
